No, M.anifest, who you likely know as one-third of A.R.M., has not made a track dedicated to one of Eddie Murphy’s classic ’80s comedies. Rather, the MC is using “Coming to America” to give us a feel for his forthcoming 2011 album, Coming to America: Immigrant Chronicles. Now, if the name is any indication, M.anifest will obviously utilize this record to further detail his trip from Africa to the United States. I’m excited to hear his story as I’ve been a fan of his for several years now. And it’s always refreshing to hear an artist get personal, especially when the music is as good as this.
