We’ve been watching the kid Lytesho! for a minute here at Potholes and I have to say, it’s been a thrill to watch him progress as an artist. He has sharply honed his sample-heavy, crate-digging craft in just the past year alone, and I can say with confidence that his latest project, Diamond City, is his best yet. There are blunted, swirling rhythms; gruff hip-hop quotables; remixes of Nas and the Bins; and so much more. What’s most impressive, though, is how well it all meshes, making for a cohesive listen that commands your attention. Get it below.
