If M.I.A. lived in Los Angeles, refrained from rambling about rebel fighters, and drew more inspiration from Brainfeeder than Mad Decent, she might have made something like Low Leaf‘s new project, GiGA GAiA. There’s bass lines here that if played at high volumes in residential areas or car steroes may cause cardiac dysrhythmia, resulting in a Kanye-like car accident without the Rocafella deal. But on the very same track, as you lay beneath shattered glass with a jaw that looks like a half-done Jenga puzzle, you’ll hear some smooth vocals and a harp. It’s all very much like Che Guevara with bling on.
