The production of every track that I’ve heard thus far from singer Love Mansuy has immediately captivated my attention, drawing me in as the likelihood for a premature pause rapidly drops to zero. “White Heaven”, his newest release since the Potholes-featured “San Lucas”, creates such an effect through the California-influenced electric guitar plucks, quivering below the surface of the track before extending to full-fledged strokes. Spacey textures and tones complement the song well, and I find myself drifting through this pleasant environment architected by producer Balsam. Upon focusing more on the vocalist himself and the words he brings to the beat, the well-rounded quality of the track becomes evident.
Between the reverb, the EQing of the vocals and the widely encompassing production, Mansuy reminds me of a lower-toned, less drug-reliant version of The Weeknd.
The blaring bridge is a thrilling surprise to the concluding segment of “White Heaven”, which you can stream below.
