L’Orange first caught our attention by flipping jazz and blues samples on The Manipulation EP, so it’s only fitting that he returns to his roots on his latest drop alongside Stik Figa. The two are fresh off the release of their damn-good collaborative LP, The City Under The City, and L’Orange decided to rework one of the standout tracks. “Before Midnight”, which features Rapsody and Castle, now has a beyond-dusty feel thanks to the producer’s flip of a Billie Holiday sample. If only we could listen to this on a turntable…
