Listen to Ruff Sqwad’s ‘White Label Classics’ Reissue In Its Entirety

Grime is a fascinating genre. It occupies a strange space today; influential in so much of where music and notably urban UK strains have gone in recent years, but in order to get a good idea of where it came out of you either had to be there when it happened, spend countless hours scavenging the internet for hard-to-find mp3s, or drop crazy amounts of money on items as they appear on Discogs. As grime has experienced a resurgence in recent years, the release of White Label Classics comprised of the massively influential Ruff Sqwad productions seems as timely as ever.

It featured 22 tracks of unrelenting grime instrumentals that should appeal to anyone that appreciates grime, UK bass and even the Potholes instrumental hip-hop fan. It is the aggressive roots that went great lengths to spawn one of Britain’s biggest stars. The compilation is set to release on Dec. 10 through old school grime label No Hats No Hoods which you can preorder here if you feel so inclined. Fact has the premiere of the release, which you can stream below.
