Listen To Rome Fortune’s New Track “The Night” F. Childish Major

With a pair of successful project releases under his belt in 2014, ATLien ponderer Rome Fortune takes his first step towards yet another album with “The Night.” Though we know very little about the Small VVorld LP, this woozy single suggests we can safely expect some high quality music at the very least. Longtime friend and collaborator Childish Major assumes two roles, taking control of the backdrop alongside fellow producer Try-Bishop while also laying claim to the track’s memorable hook.

Fortune fulfills his rapping duties with his signature ease, waxing poetic as distorted vocal samples and all-encompassing bass pervade the background. We recently included Rome in our “30 Best Albums of 2014 (So Far)” list, an honorary recognition of his artistic ear and cadence. Can he add yet another project to the mix when our year-end list rolls around? Stay tuned.

Stream “The Night” below; follow Rome Fortune, Childish Major and Try-Bishop on Twitter. Look out for Major’s forthcoming Community Service EP with Matik Estrada, which drops Aug. 15.

[…] Rome Fortune and Childish Major together make one of my favorite rapper-producer pairs out of anyone out today, and their chemistry is apparent on their latest collaboration titled “Juice.” With Childish laying down a head-nodding, unorthodox production, Rome is given the ideal canvas for his unique rapping style and flow; Major sets ‘em up, and Rome knocks ‘em down. Childish mixes a litany of sounds from all sides of the spectrum on this joint, which really makes this one stand out. […]
