Listen: Lord Jamar’s Homophobic Kanye West Diss Track

lord jamar Listen: Lord Jamars Homophobic Kanye West Diss TrackYou know what is sad? When old-time rappers try to remain relevant by dropping incredibly desperate diss tracks like what you are about to hear. Yes, Lord Jamar has just dropped a diss track aimed at Kanye West. Not only is it a diss track, but it is packed with homophobic low blows that strip this one time legendary rapper of all his credibility. But Lord Jamar claims he isn’t calling West gay, he is just against “anybody promoting the feminization — of the Black man in hip-hop culture.” I’m not sure how he can explain a line like, “I refute all this gay shit,” then, but I digress. Listen to the diss track below. Some of Lord Jamar’s Tweets on the matter can also be found at the bottom of this post.

I don’t see any reason to respect someone for keeping it real when their reality sucks. Maybe if he dropped his shitty opinions in a brilliant flow over a slamming beat we could let it slide, but this? is a tragedy.

no how about this – if you’re homophobic, that’s YOUR business, and you keep it to your fuckin’ self or get clowned on in 2013 for acting like a god damn neanderthal. and let me and my motherfuckers live.

Fuck Jamar (always the weak link in Brand Nubian anyway – should have just been Dat & Puba) for his bullshit, and even more than that, for rhyming on a beat that sounds like a fuckin’ medieval stage in a playstation fighting game. You wanna complain about soft and that’s the shit you come on? Brand Nu at least used to have BEATS, loser.

    ugly.

Last I heard Kanye was a fan of Brand Nubian and this nigga shows his appreciation by dissing him for wearing kilts. It doesn’t matter how “hip-hop” this shit is, niggas are losing by trying to stunt the culture. Hip-hop can’t stay the same with niggas wearing big ass jackets, rugged boots and calling niggas “faggots”.

You know how rock music was all crazy and rebellious in the 60s when white people first stole it? Then, those fans of rock music got old and the new kids started making their own kind of rock and the old fans hated it? I used to think “Man, I hope rap doesn’t end up like that”, but alas it was inevitable.

Look at Joey Bumass. He on that “93 til infinity” shit trying to call out Lil B for being weird, but he ended up being the one to get his feelings hurt and leave twitter. Niggas need to let rap/hip-hop evolve and stop being mad at everything all the new niggas do. So what if a nigga wear tight shirts? So what if niggas want to wear leather pants? I think that shit sus, too, but I joke about it and keep it moving.

These old dickhead rappers look like the GOP did when Obama won his second term. They still homophobic, anti-female and anti-progress while still trying to pretend they have the best interest of their peers at heart. They really don’t.

The TL;DR version: Lord Jamar need to shut the fuck up and go earn some respect. He looks like a jaded old dickhead in need of attention.

Props to Lord Jammar for speaking the truth. Brothers ARE going soft. Since when does the media get to approve or, disapprove what is acceptable in Hip-Hop? Hip-Hop was always a very masculine culture much like reggae. You can’t bully people into changing their beliefs just because the majority of rich white people and hippies in mainstream entertainment are so pro-gay. If you’re gay that’s your business. But don’t crucify brothers like Jammar and Busta for being true to who THEY are. You can’t dictate what others think or say in their art.

reasons why i DON’T hate this:

    1. this is how he honestly feels.

    2. this isn’t far off of anything else in hip hop. he’s speaking for a lot of rappers right now who are afraid to say something.

    3. it wasn’t extremely homophobic. he’s just saying he’s not feeling the skirt shit.

    4. rappers have been calling Kanye out for his fashion since he was rocking pink polos.

    5. that boondocks sample.

i wholeheartedly disagree with his opinions but he kept it real and kept it hip hop. respect.

One of Brand Nubian’s biggest hits boasts a lyric about how they would “fuck up a faggot.” Sadly, this is not all that surprising.
