Kanye West is basically everywhere right now. This morning, we saw his interview on The Breakfast Club, which I highlighted because of how entertaining and tense it got at times. Now I’m diving into his interview with Sway on Sway In The Morning and, once again, I’m supremely entertained.
The two kick off their discussion touching on topics that include Kanye likening his creative agency, Donda, to Willy Wonka and whether or not the fashion world is racist—Yeezy said it’s more classist than racist. But things get incredibly heated when Sway asks why Kanye can’t do everything himself and without the corporations, which comes after they talk about Kanye’s similar conversation on The Breakfast Club.
And in response, Kanye explodes and shouts, “How Sway?! You don’t got the answers, Sway!” Things eventually cool off and Yeezy even indulges Sway with a “freestyle” over Nine Inch Nails classic “Closer”. “That was the first freestyle that had absolutely no rhymes,” Kanye remarks. Yeahhh.

damn. this was freaking GREAT!!!!! I love the heat and passion and SWAY not letting him get away with it. Kanye is an artist who is clearly passionate about his work. And, he is a BLACK man in multiple industries (music, fashion,art) ran by the privilaged white male. It aint easy.
