Listen: Chaz French Recruits GoldLink For “LMGLML”

Chaz French called on creative friend and tour mate GoldLink for his latest release, the enjoyably dreamy and melodic “LMGLML.” Best believe this song is something to ride to. We haven’t heard much from either rapper for a minute, but both unsurprisingly trot over the track with ease. Over producer Kris Minor’s sputtering hi-hats and atmospheric layer of watery sounds—some similar to, if not a sample of, the arabic croons from Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love”—French and ‘Link obliterate everything in their path. The latter sings with newfound comfort while the former states his rising worth in the world.

French first blew us away with his powerful, deep-chested voice on “Came Down,” a trap-influenced banger if there ever was one. Larger-than-life boasts and an undeniable mic presence kept us eagerly awaiting more; months after the fact, he has proven that one-off video to be no fluke with this collaborative success.

Check out “LMGLML” below and stay tuned for more collaborations between these two rappers—they have at least one more impressive song locked away.
