A pop-art album cover, high fructose corny syrupy vocals, synthesizers and samples that sound removed from movies from the ’40s. That about sums up the three track self-titled release from Lip Color out of San Diego. It’s short but it’s fun and she manages to make “Wish You Were Dead” sound as pleasant as hearing $100 bills being counted off to you at the bank.
