This past August, New Zealand’s Ladi6 released her third full-length, Automatic, that I admittedly slept on. But I’m about to change all that upon hearing Oddisee‘s remix of album cut “Diamonds”. The fact that he cosigns her material alone has increased my interest in her music tenfold. But then there’s the remix itself, which is simply fantastic. The Brooklyn-residing rapper/producer adds a slick verse to the final third of the track and flipped the beat into a smooth, horns-laden burner.
