A few weeks ago I first came across the music of KYNAN, the musical project conceived by California-native, Joel Williams. Shortly thereafter, KYNAN signed up with the good folks at verb/re/verb and Flashlight Tag to release his full album, for free! The album is called Birthday Blues, and it also serves as the first release on the free album label, Absent Fever. I have got to say, if future releases from Absent Fever continue to sound like Birthday Blues, I think these guys are on to something!
