Harlem-based spitter Kyle Rapps released one of 2011’s more ambitious, and well-executed, mixtapes in On Air. It was built entirely on samples from French electronic/downtempo stalwarts Air, which might sound strange on paper but Rapps pulled off with ease. Proving that point is tape highlight “Streets Move On”, a track he uses to express his thoughts on gentrification. At least, that’s what I’m getting from both his lyrics and the video, which we’re proud to premiere. You can watch the visuals below and download On Air right here.
