One might ask, with a YouTube hit as big as “Gucci Gucci”, how could she only sell that many records? I think the bigger question is, who are those 3,900 people that spent actual money on this piece of garbage? Even in this dreaded music industry climate, that is an absolutely dismal figure. Hopefully she fades into obscurity soon, because I am not sure I can take much more of her contrived party tracks and irritating monotone raps. [via]

Probably. Thats very odd for a major label release. I would have at least pleaded for Wal-Mart, even Target. But Hot Topic? that was a failure from the start.

Why did they only release CDs at Hot Topic? Isn’t that a clothing store?
The album was only available physically at Hot Topic, which seems like a death sentence for any project. And waiting a year after her biggest hit to get the album out, another fail.
I personally bought it because I like her and wanted to support her. Some good songs, some are honestly bad. Haters will hate, but have to just do you.

But the REAL reason she flopped is because of bad timing. There are plenty of wack artists who do better numbers. “Gucci Gucci” has over 38 million views on Youtube and she got a TON of buzz……LAST YEAR. She shouldve dropped an album then. She waited too late.
