Kokayi – “Chanticleer”

On the real, Kokayi’s Robots & Dinosaurs is one of my favorite albums of the year. It’s rare that an artist crafts a record that jumps from one genre to the next with a firm footing in hip-hop. And it’s ever rarer that the outcome is so damn fantastic, from the rapping to the singing to the production, most of which was handled by Kokayi himself. Here, he’s providing a look at the lack of originality in art these days as he sing-songs his way throughout “Chanticleer”, which also happens to feature his children. Hope you dig it enough to check out the remainder of the record.

Stream “Chanticleer” below and download it after the jump.
