Kokayi is apparently following up last year’s incredible Robots & Dinosaurs with a project that remixes the entirety of the album. Oh, and did I mention that it’s going to be free? Hot-damn, Kokayi, you’re like some kind of hip-hop Santa Claus because you also just gave away a full album’s worth of instrumentals. 8BIT Ubermentals is a 17-track collection of songs made between 1995 and 2003. And believe me when I tell you that these aren’t merely throwaways he had hanging around. Tackle this one with your morning coffee — or tea — and prepare to feel inspired.
