K’LA – “Blame” F. Nas

Let’s be honest, the only reason this song is even in rotation is because Nas is a featured lyricist. The image and sound of Island Def Jam’s new signee K’LA all seem rather generic in the pop R&B world, and most certainly nothing we would have been too interested in without the name Nas attached to it. But maybe that is all we needed to fall in love with the Indiana artist, who has somehow surprised us with new single, “Blame”. Now don’t get it twisted, she isn’t exactly a lyrical genius, but the production and cutesy hook hold things together, as Nas comes to save the day with a sturdy anchoring verse.
