While our coverage of King Krule’s rise to stardom on Potholes has been relatively absent, that doesn’t mean we haven’t been playing the hell out of the Londoner’s self-titled five-track EP. Everything from his voice to the grim instrumentals are surprisingly unique, and it shows for a world of promise for this young artist. Archy Marshall, who was formerly known as Zoo Kid, now takes to the studio with his band to perform an EP favorite “Portrait in Black and Blue” for Yours Truly. His recordings are nice, but the song definitely comes to life when played live. [via]
