Finally, some new King Krule to get down to. The youngster’s 2011 self-titled EP was absolutely fantastic, I must say, but the sky is the limit for what is shaping up to be a true musical talent. I’m glad he sat most of the summer out, because his distant sound is not fit for anything but the cooler temperatures of the winter months. His latest tune, “Octopus”, is the B-side to the already leaked “Rock Bottom“. Both songs that appear on the forthcoming single are more upbeat and groovy than prior Krule efforts, but that doesn’t make them any less enjoyable. In fact, that drowning saxophone is one of the sexiest pieces of instrumentation I have heard all day.
