Daaaamn, it’s been a few years since we last heard from Atlanta-based rapper blctxt, who appeared on Potholes in late 2009 upon the release of his Acknowledgment mixtape. It would appear that the dude’s been honing his craft something serious as he rips apart the beat on “A Smart Black Boy”, off producer’s King I Divine’s Crown Jewelz 3 project. The Jay-Z-sampling hook and neck-breakin’ beat also caught my attention, but damn, blctxt, this is dope. Be on the look-out for his new EP, also called A Smart Black Boy, due out in May.
