As we approach the release of Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated good kid, m.A.A.d. city release next month, speculation increases with the leaking of new track, “Art Of Peer Pressure”. I could definitely see this sitting alongside tracks we have heard thus far, especially the otherworldly “Cartoon & Cereal“.
No word just yet whether this will make the cut, though. The track exemplifies Lamar’s ability to tell revealing hood tales, bringing us back to the gangland he is all too familiar with. But instead of glorifying the streets, Lamar appears to have taken a Tupac perspective and shed light on how peer pressure leads youth to do some pretty destructive stuff. Certainly a refreshing take on the issues, which we are expecting more of on Oct. 22 when good kid, m.A.A.d. city drops. [via]
