Kendra Morris is a New York-based singer-songwriter of the soul-loving ilk. You see, her music sounds like something that you’d find on a dusty ol’ piece of vinyl at your local record store. And once you cleaned it off and threw it on your turntable, you’d be instantly taken by the smoky, sultry tunes.

Like “Pow”, which stems from her Banshee release on Wax Poetics. The modern soul jam gets transported to another dimension here thanks to the animation work of James McMillan, who was behind that amazing video for J Dilla’s “Lightworks“. You can watch the “Pow” video below.
