In Yours Truly and Adidas Originals’ latest installment of the Songs From Scratch series, Kelela, Tink and DJ Dahi join forces for the magnificently crafted “Want It”. The track is undeniably catchy, with ’90s era R&B vibes and a seductive bit of production. And while this collaboration is billed as a one-off, we hope this isn’t the last of their work together.

[…] Kelela‘s back with another excellent track, this time teaming up with Chicago rapper Tink and the talented TDE affiliate DJ Dahi. “Want It” sounds like a darker version of an old Aaliyah cut, combining a syrupy mid-tempo beat with Kelela’s irresistibly seductive vocals. Tink, who comes straight from the hard-natured drill scene, dials it back a bit with a quick but effective verse that she sounds comfortably at home with.
