Sorry, y’all, but Kanye West’s new album is not titled I Am God. But according to reports, apparently he has a new song on the way that’s pretty close to that title: “I Am A God”. It’s said to be a reference Psalm 82, which states the following: “I said, ‘You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.'” OK then. Also, a source close to Yeezy told the Huffington Post that “We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being.” Double OK then.

Well, there isn’t an supreme being up there in space, our own god and devil exist within us showing us right from wrong. It’s called concience. So it’s ok for him and anyone else to say that if he wants to. I am a god. So are you… whoever believes in their own decisions and convictions is a god to themselves.

There’s still a culture of self-proclaimed “omnipotence” within his music and image. But that’s just me.
