Kanye West & Jay-Z – “The Joy” prod. Pete Rock

Look, I realize that we don’t normally post tracks like this. We typically stick to the underground, left-field, under-appreciated, and underrated type of artists. But hey, we can’t help digging music from the mainstream, especially when it’s this good. Some might disagree, I’m sure, but this G.O.O.D. Friday track is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. Maybe it’s because I can’t help loving hearing Jay-Z and Kanye West together on a Pete Rock production. Or maybe it’s because it’s one of the more focused free tracks that Yeezy’s liberated to the masses. Or maybe it’s because it’s just a damn good song. I’m going with all three. Enjoy.

  1. Pete Rock’s been recycling samples, but the way he does it arrangementwise cannot be touched.

    Song is FIRE though.

  2. Pete Rock’s recycling samples now? Either way, this track is still awesome. Nice to hear all three of these guys come together.
