Fuck what you heard: k-os’ Yes! was one of the best albums of 2009, even though it was never properly released in the States. Yeah, it’s available digitally here and you might get lucky finding it at a smaller record store. But shit, this multi-talented artist goes and makes yet another awesome LP only to see it not get any love on this side of the American/Canadian border. My ranting aside, I’m hoping that all this affection for a certain Toronto rapper/”singer” will turn into the world realizing there are other very talented MCs from the Great White North. Anyway, I’m just glad to see “Zambony”, the opening track to Yes!, get a push as a single.

Couldn’t agree more. Yes! deserves just as much light as Drake’s “Thank Me Later”, even though there’s NO comparing the two – outside of them being from Toronto. This is one hell of a creative album and i too hope it finds its way around.
