You know to expect some mayhem whenever Guillermo Scott Herren chooses to remix a track under the alias Prefuse 73. And mayhem is exactly what we get here with his take on Junip’s “Always”. The song dives headfirst into burbling, wavering synthesizers while being bolstered by simple but steady drum. That’s only until everything thrusts into one another, causing a brief chorus-esque moment at about halfway through. Things then move back into more straight-ahead beat territory after that, though, leaving you itching to hear those vocals again.
