Creativity never takes time off. While us normal folk were sucking our thumbs and catching some well-needed Z’s, Boston-based producer Jonathan Lowell released six new instrumental EPs for free download.
This insanely gracious offering is an eclectic clearinghouse of sounds: princess peach features reworks of nostalgia-laden soul samples, lemme cook delves into zonked-out, pitch-shifted territory, mothra is an audible opium den and brainfood has a song named “shrimp ramen”. I haven’t heard a collection of beats this engaging in a while, and certainly not at this volume. Download these respective projects and nod ya head ‘til it falls off.
Listen to mothra, princess peach, existential pancakes, lemme cook, brainfood and The Drawing Board 2014 via Lowell’s Bandcamp.
