Jon Hope – “Slow Motion”

Fresh off the release of yet another solid project with Waterfire: Collection of Emotions, Jon Hope isn’t looking to slow down. He apparently recorded his latest track, “Slow Motion”, the other night and felt like sharing it with his fans to show appreciation for their support. It’s another uplifting cut from Hope that recognizes there might be some heartache and pain along the way, but that you have to keep pushing on. I’m telling you, if anyone was to be my go-to guy for inspirational music, it would have to be this Providence MC. Even when he’s tackling darker subjects, there is always a spark of hope (no pun, I promise) in his words. His relentless optimism and undeniable talent make me always question why he’s not a bigger name already.

Stream “Slow Motion” after the jump.

  1. Glad you dig it, Aj! Yeah, Jon’s definitely got a Chicago thing going on with his flow and voice.

  2. Dope! Will be re-posting this one!

Sounds like he should be on the GOOD Music roster. Kinda like an amalgam of KiD CuDi and Common (“slow motion’s better than no motion”) – in a good way.
