Joey Bada$$ Returns to Twitter, Says He Was “Addicted” To It

joey-badass-hatThe story surrounding Joey Bada$$ and Lil B‘s beef hit a new low on Friday night when the 18-year-old New York rapper deleted his Twitter after airing out the latter’s “gay computer nerd” fan base. But late last night, it hit another low upon young Bada$$’s return. You see, his reasoning for leaving the social network wasn’t that he was harassed by the Based God’s “task force” or anything like that. Nah, Joey’s saying that he was “addicted” to Twitter and THAT is why he deleted his account. He didn’t kick himself off “over no dumb shit,” you guys. This is absurd. [via]

Or maybe it’s the rappers themselves that are the problem? Some of them should consider being respectable to others and themselves.

i keep saying this but twitter is something that rappers should not have. i don’t even use one. but all instances about twitter and rappers are always a bunch of fuckery. Joey is right. it is addicting because of the need of instant gratification but a lack of social boundaries that keep people from saying shit that they would know better not to say in public. twitter promote braggadocios attitude and it is more likely to ruin your reputation than gain fans. it be wise to only use twitter as a public service announcement for your music rather than a megaphone for bitching about shit for attention.
