From his work with Hot Chip to his work with the 2 Bears, Joe Goddard is a man of many musical tastes. The electro-pop sounds of Hot Chip certainly differ from the UK funky house that the 2 Bears, and the sound of his solo work takes a much different path as well. “She Burns” is a great track with a very ambient, soulful house feel, a perfect backdrop for Mara Carlyle’s lovely voice. “She Burns” will see a release on Joe’s label, Greco-Roman, on the Taking Over EP, date TBA.
