JJ DOOM – “Banished” (Beck Remix)

Last week, we heard three of the brand-new tracks offered on the Butter Version of JJ DOOM‘s 2012 album, Key to the Kuffs. And now, it’s time to get an earful of yet another previously unreleased joint from Jneiro Jarel and DOOM. Kind of. They enlisted the work of one of music’s most talented and versatile artists, Beck, to work his magic on “Banished”. He retains the original’s rapid-fire vocals from the masked villain and laces the beat with fuzz, acoustic guitars, some background vocals, and enough glitchiness to make it his own. I have to admit, I’m a bit of a Beck stan, so excuse my gushing here.
