In celebration of her 26th birthday yesterday (Mar. 16), songstress Jhené Aiko liberated “My Afternoon Dream”. Produced by Key Wayne, the backdrop breezes along with the similarly smooth consistency of calm waves that wash upon a sandy shore. Aiko’s voice floats like a singular leaf atop the watery beat’s surface. The relaxed audio conjoins with a benignly ghost-like video set by the sea’s edge, seemingly shot with an infrared lens.
Though Jhené is sometimes difficult to stomach over the course of a complete project, her blissful delivery is enjoyable in small doses. Watch “My Afternoon Dream” below.
