After such a phenomenal 2010 for Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder record label, one must wonder if the bar will be raised even higher in this new year. Jazz pianist Austin Peralta’s debut album Endless Planets dropped not too long ago, and now we’re treated to the single off of Jeremiah Jae’s Rappayamatantra EP due out on March 22nd. As Jae rolls right over luscious lo-fi loops, it’s clear that “$easons” is an incredibly reflective piece, both lyrically and sonically. Yeah, it’s going to be a dope year for Brainfeeder. My mind’s made up.
