Jean Grae – “Kill Screen”

If any of you have Netflix subscription-bearing readers out there have been bored at any given time, I am sure you have taken the time to watch The King Of Kong: A Fistful Of Quarters. Apparently Jean Grae just has too, as she has drawn inspiration for her latest song “King Kong” directly from the film. I am a fan of the spark park of creativity here from Ms. Grae, but her cadence and vocal delivery falls a little monotonous on this track. The self-produced beat picks things up a bit, though, accompanying the retro video game vibe with 8-bit swagger. “Kill Screen” is the lead single from Jean Grae’s forthcoming album, Gotham Down. [via]
