The best part about Fuse’s Crate Diggers series is the nice reminder that a lot of us really don’t know anything about music. A 15,000 song music library sitting in the palm of your hand is impressive and all, but filling a room with rare and beat up slabs of vinyl is something else entirely. The series has brought in guys like Peanut Butter Wolf and J Rocc to show off their staggering collections, now it’s time for the legendary Jazzy Jay to step up and show off his records. He takes a trip down memory lane while flipping through his massive stacks of vinyl and providing insight to a time of hip-hop long past with discussion of people like Bambaataa and The Beastie Boys. “If you don’t have some vinyl in your collection, man, you can’t holler at a cat like me.”
