I came across the sounds of Jay Cue, and his NRK crew, thanks to Potholes contributor D.L. Chandler. And as soon as I heard the first track off Pyramid Life, it was on. It’s equal parts don’t-give-a-fuck attitude and jazzy, blunted production, which combine to make an engaging listen with high replay value. The free album includes production from both Cue and Hal Williams, the latter of whom you know from Odd Future production crew Jet Age of Tomorrow.
