Javis FauX – The Incomplete Tape [Compilation]

Atlanta-based producer Javis FauX is one of those dudes I feel like everyone should know about. You know those ridiculous talents that you just want to play for anyone and everyone? For me, lately, that’s FauX. We highlighted two of his projects, The Killswitch Theory and Deal With It Vol. 1, and even got an exclusive joint from him for Space Toast.

And today, I’m hoping more of you catch on to his production skills with The Incomplete Tape. FauX described it as a “few rough drafts/unfinished tracks that I just never bothered to finish (and never will).” But don’t let that deter you for a second. Just because these aren’t “finished” don’t mean they’re not wholly enjoyable. He gets his mini-balladry on with “Smell the Roses” while “Zoned Out” rides with a creeping, back-alley bump. And “Black on Black”? Damn.
