Javis FauX – Deal With It Vol. 1 [EP]

Twenty-three-year-old Atlanta producer Javis FauX caught my attention in early December when he shot us a link to his The Killswitch Theory EP. What intrigued me the most about the newcomer was his ability to blend sounds from different genres, namely synth-based electronic and Southern boom-bap, to create something new and palate-cleansing. That remains true on his latest EP, Deal With It Vol. 1, which makes its feelings known from the jump. Opening track “Deal With It” just might be my favorite trap-leaning beat of the moment.
