About a week ago UK producer Jamie xx announced that he was collaborating with visual artist Quayola on a new live performance. The concept is a complete visual experience that allows Quayola to manipulate visuals in real time to support Jamie’s music. You could think about it similar to an iTunes visualizer, but with far, far greater attention to detail and high ability to react and morph depending on the music that is playing. The performance was set to occur Thursday night, but due to the unstable state of things in London right now, the performance has been postponed. The teaser provided here gives a glimpse of what Jamie has been working on recently, and it’s sounding great. As of now those of us outside of the UK will have to wait, but hopefully we get some of the new music released in the near future.
