Jamie XX announced back in September that he would be releasing some solo material in the form of “Far Nearer”, but it wasn’t until February that we got our hands on the full version via YouTube. Now, thanks to Numbers, we get to hear the full studio version of “Far Nearer” and “Beat For” as they will appear on the single release, which is available now. I can’t tell you how much I am in love with “Far Nearer”. The steel drums and vocal samples absolutely hit the spot as this heat wave comes in full effect in New York City this week. Keeping myself in that breezy island state of mind!
