Yeah, I’m a few days late here, but so what? Why must we all be so on top of everything that we can’t enjoy things as they come to us? It’s totally fine to not be completely up on every single thing that drops, be it a single, mixtape, EP, album cover, etc… Anyway, Jamie xx delivered a new single, “All Under One Roof Raving,” by way of a BBC Radio broadcast this past Friday and subsequently uploaded it for everyone else to hear. He’s once again using his favorite instrument, steel drums, as a major component of the instrumental in addition to vocal samples. As for those samples, most of them stem from artist Mark Leckey’s short film Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore. I’ve never seen it, but after hearing this cut from Jamie, I’m definitely interested. What say you?

This is awesome. I was too young (and American lol) to experience that UK hardcore scene when it was really poppin…but those samples got me feeling nostalgia for it regardless
