Have you ever tried to produce hip-hop beats only to give up? Don’t feel bad! James Pants has, too! In fact, he did it for a majority of the 2000s before giving up to create the eclectic tunes he’s become known for these past few years. Unlike you, though, he didn’t delete his tracks to free up space on his hard-drive. Instead, he went back to his digital vaults and compiled 51 of them to make Beat Archive Vol. 1, a pretty rad lil’ collection of out-there boom-bap that somehow should probably rap over.
