It is pretty obvious James Blake has been on a tear the past two years, dropping a well-acclaimed solo self-titled debut and a collaboration with Bon Iver, and not to mention four stunning EPs in 2010. Anyway, it is fair to say that Blake has a lot to live up to, come his next release. “Fear to Fear” appears to be one of the first looks into upcoming works, a looping piano-driven production that would feel pretty natural in a laid back lounge setting. I definitely dig the direction, which of course seems like quite the expansion from previously employed sounds. Not sure of exactly when the next projects will be dropping from James, but keep an eye open for future clues!
