We contemplated posting this single yesterday, mostly because it didn’t really fall within the realm of Potholes music coverage. But we are all fans of good tunes no matter what the genre, right? That’s why we are bringing to you “The Throw” and its newly outfitted visual offering. This exciting Australian trio are seriously about to explode, as they pay homage to the many great UK bands of the late ’80s and early ’90s. This particular single is undeniably influenced by the Stone Roses, both through sound and video. Just watch the video for “I Wanna Be Adored” and you will know exactly what I am talking about.
As far as the song goes, you might need just a bit of patience before Jagwar Ma get to the guts of this thing. But once they get there, you will not regret spending a minute or two on the buildup. The bouncy drums and infectious chorus is nothing to mess with, and it gets us even more excited for what is shaping up to be an incredibly exciting year in indie music.
