Jae R is newly-sign Warp Records artist Jeremiah Jae‘s producing alias. If you are familiar with any of his work, you’re already aware that he barely treads on the traditional route when it comes to his rhymes and beat-making. Yard Sale 2 is a continuation of Jae’s instrumental only series consisting of unreleased sounds from the vault that were made in between ’09 – ’12. This isn’t your ordinary beat tape folks — it’s a surreal listen, all of the songs seem to have a haunting aura about them. At certain points it may seem like your listening to a soundtrack for some twisted, black-and-white, slasher film (the song such as “Retard Piano” really brings it there) or a live set of a Sun Ra concert (“Sun Drums”).
