J.Rocc – “Play This (Also)”

Besides the Benji B BBC Radio 1 post a few weeks ago, we have admittedly done a pretty poor job of reporting on J.Rocc’s Some Cold Rock Stuf. With that being said, here is one of my favorite tracks off the album, which I am (hopefully) allowed to liberate. While this certainly isn’t just a DJ mix, it is indeed, a DJ instrumental album. Meaning, an album heavily influenced by the art of hip-hop chops and breaks. “Play This (Also)” is a great example of just that, as this esteemed Beat Junkie cuts his way through crafty drum breaks and old-school sample loops. J.Rocc’s Some Cold Rock Stuf will be available April 5 via Stones Throw.
