According to The Detroit News, The Royal Oak record store in Detroit has 7,000-8,000 records for sale that were owned by the late J Dilla. Jeff Bubeck of the record store said that he came across the collection at an abandoned storage unit, which was filled with records, junk mail addressed to James Yancey, and tapes labeled “Jaydee Beats”. How cool is that? The first batch of records was unleashed on Record Store Day. While I would expect at least locals to go check this out, I wouldn’t be surprised if a few fanboys flew in to buy the stock up.

Museums need to be getting in on this shit.
