Without a damn doubt in my mind, one of my favorite free projects from last year was Intuition’s I Ruined These Songs For You. It featured the Cali-by-way-of-Alaska spitter injecting himself into tracks from the likes of Portishead, Mayer Hawthorne, and D’Angelo to create a throwback, mixtape-for-your-girlfriend vibe. And Intuition executed the damn thing perfectly as his bars weren’t just random verses. Instead, he carried on the story being told by his host and complemented the rest of the song. It turns out he’s got another one coming soon and he’s provided us with a visual preview of I Ruined These Songs For You Too. It features his verse from his remix of Phantogram’s “When I’m Small”.
